Background
In 43 years, around 70,000 egresses have been well prepared to occupy important professional positions, across the country and abroad. UNIFOR offers 30 undergraduate and seven graduate programmes in the areas of business, law, technology, humanities and health. The campus houses a complete infrastructure that includes laboratories, auditoriums, library, theatre, recreational and sports facilities, as well as centres for health, culture, community, research and university extension services.
Currently UNIFOR has academic cooperation and exchange agreements with over 90 universities in 20 countries, where the students can spend one or two semesters abroad. It also has Double Degree agreements with the following universities: Deggendorf Institute of Technology (Germany), Berlin School of Economics and Law (Germany) and Novancia Business School (France).
To attract more international students who are not proficient in Portuguese, UNIFOR offers some classes taught in the English language, such as Brazilian culture and arts, international negotiations, Brazilian contemporary economy, environmental management, business and professional ethics, marketing, human rights law, Portuguese as a second language and many others.
The undergraduate courses, all running under the conceptions of social responsibility, have substantially contributed to the development in the northeastern region of Brazil, mainly in the State of Ceará.
